Falconry in the UAE
In the Middle East falconry has been practiced for centuries. Bedouin tribes used birds for hunting in the wilderness, to supplement their diet with meat.
In our times, falconry became favorite hobby for many wealthy Emirati males. For falconry you need special ropes that tied the falcon, also they put the camera on them, and often buy live pigeons for the real hunt of their favorites. Friends regularly meet in the evenings to train their birds hunting and on one of these meetings visited photographer Dan Kitvud.
