Whatever these photos represent, its not even a drop in the bucket compared to the amount of goods the PA and customs destroys everyday. Counterfeit items, smuggled stuff, bad paperwork, damaged items, stolen things - there are many reasons it happens. Whole containers of electronics, clothes (lots of clothes), household goods, cheap jewelery / sunglasses / watches, etc - are destroyed via the most efficient methods possible (which isn't a little tack hammer). I bet we burned 100,000 pairs of fake Levis in 1 year. Or counterfeit cell phones - oh my gosh, so many! I never like to see L lenses harmed, but seriously... this is nothing.
