These beautiful photos were taken in the pitch-black darkness. British photographer Paul Thompson has created his “Moonlight” project, which has pushed the boundaries of night photography.
The places of shooting are often so dark, that he can’t see his camera when he opens the shutter. Each photo usually gets only one chance, because the exposure time in these conditions is nearly 2 hours. In result he gets ethereal photos looking like the images of the moonscape or the scenes from fantasy film.
