Giant Van Gogh in Goodland, Kansas
There is a small town in Kansas - Goodland - surrounded by sunflowers fields and cut apart by I-70 highway. It is a typical Kansas town with one giant difference. It has Van Gogh. Though just a reproduction but the huge one.

A 24 by 32 foot reproduction of Van Gogh’s “3 Sunflowers In A Vase” on a 80 foot steel easel is created by Cameron Cross in 2001 as a part of The Big Easel Project. Here you can find more information about it.

Huge Hole in Quito, Ecuador

Photo by Stern. A huge hole in the ground ate a part of the road in the Ecuador capital city Quito after heavy rains in the beginning of April, 2008. According to Latin American news agency Prensa Latina the hole measured 262 feet (80 meters) in depth, 98 feet (30 meters) in diameter.

A guy from the Ultramobilegeek.com running World Of Warcraft heavy MMORPG game on his Asus eeePC 701 ultra mobile notebook (which is often called mininote for its modest size and weight). Of cause the eeePC he’s got for it is not the cheapest one. This is 4G model with 2Gb RAM. Also he have used a special software to overclock the CPU and boost 7″ LCD resolution to 800*600.
But it’s work. World of Warcraft runs 8 frames per second - pretty nice for grinding or auctioning on the go.

Being under the Mugabe’s regime for over a twenty years Zimbabwe (a not so small and pretty populated African country situated to the north of South Africa) experienced the most crazy inflation in XXI century word. In the March, 2008 the black market price of the US dollar jumps from 25 million Zimbabwean dollars to almost 90 million!
