Considering the fact that the streets of Berlin contain so much quality street art, we can qualify them as an outdoor museum that keeps surprising passersby, especially tourists who come visit the city.

The point of this kind of art is to boost awareness, originality and to provoke people to think with their own heads. The festival of lights is an event that lasts two weeks every October and it attracts a lot of tourists around the world.

In 2014 this event celebrated its 10th anniversary. If you haven’t heard of it yet, now it’s time to see how it looked like during the years.

The project Urban Treehouses offers a new type of residential buildings. New houses are located in Zehlendorf district which is in vicinity of the Berlin’s city center.

This project was developed by Kolja Stegemann and his grandfather. They designed the house consisted of two cubic units of 226 square feet of living space. These cubes hover on a 13 foot high base and have a kitchen, bathroom, and a terrace. The Baumraum construction company built these amazing modern treehouses and equipped them with warm and bright interiors. The goal is to make them not only as a weekend getaway option, but also suitable for the long-term living.
