Tokyo tunnels

Deep under the Shinjuku district of Tokyo hi-tech underground highway is being built. Deep under skyscrapers of the Japan’s capital intelligence and technology of the Human Being withstands the unbelievable pressure of Earth.

Tunnels of the Shinjuku circular highway will help to relieve traffic jams in the center of the Tokyo – one of the most overloaded metropolitan traffic system in the world.

Underground highway is almost ready now, but before city traffic will flood these astonishing tunnels, photographer Joe Nishizawa took several pictures of constructions which are undoubtedly the triumph of engineering.
