US states renamed for countries by GDP value

Interesting map found on the Strangemaps blog: it represents US states as countries with comparable GDP (Gross Domestic Product).

If California was a separate country it would take the France’s place #8. GDP of Texas compares to that of Canada. Florida – US third largest GDP – is comparable to South Korea. The “poorest” US state is Wyoming. Its GDP compares to that of Uzbekistan.
