Winter river surfing

Surfers living in the northern countries usually need to travel to the countries with the warmer climate and better waves. But the lack of both of these things never stops the really determined people. They can find a good wave everywhere, even at the living-room-wide river. And anytime, even in December.

The German surfers are surfing the waves of the tiny Eisbach river which running through the city of Munich. When the winter is claiming its rights, the air freezes, snow falls and the stone-clad shores of the Eisbach river is grows the ice shield—it doesn’t stop them. It merely means that the water is warmer than the air.
