The South-Eastern Asia attracts tens of millions of tourists from all over the world. Mostly, Europeans (as well as Americans and Australians). And mostly because its culture differs so sharply—it’s like another planet sometimes.
Some food on the streets can turn unprepared gourmand inside out and some can make him to fall in love on the spot. The same thing with everything else—you either love or hate it—there’s no place for the middle ground.
The street entertainments are simple-minded and down-to-earthy as well. And as everything else, some of them could totally creep you out or make you shudder in disgust. Like the masked monkeys in Indonesia. The poor little animals are forced to wear creepy masks made of the dolls’ faces and beg for spare change all day long under the desolate sun of the rural Indonesian towns.
