UK artist Kendra Haste creates the beautiful life-like sculptures of wild animals, using the ordinary galvanized wire.
By fraying, painting and layering she reproduces wonderfully anatomical look of various animals. With wire she crafts not only the animal’s solid forms, but also creates very realistic their fell, fur and faces. The Historic Royal Palaces commissioned her in 2010 to fabricate 13 sculptures around Tower of London, and they will remain on view through 2021.
