Sometimes, the scarcity of resources becomes the fertile ground for the brilliant ideas. On the Cozumel Island which lies off the Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula the resource in scarcity is the land. The island is just a 30 miles long and 16 miles wide, yet pretty densely (for the surrounding area) inhabited. So it’s not a surprise that when the local dwellers are facing the difficulties they tend to improvise. And they are doing it right.
