California-based master glassblower Rick Satava makes amazing glass sculptures.

These incredibly lifelike sculptures are very realistic and look like real jellyfish preserved in glass.

Glass-in-glass sculptures are a very old form of art. Firstly, the inner glass sculpture is formed and then it is dipped into molten glass, forming the outer glass shroud. Rick Satava began selling his sculptures in 1990. Today he creates about 300 jellyfish sculptures each month.

Yep. You can see through these amazing creatures as if they were made of glass. It isn’t the best idea for a camouflage, but who didn’t want to be invisible? Or, ok, near-invisible.

Scientists found about 60 near-invisible animals in many different locations, but most of them take advantage of such type of camouflage in shallow waters.
