Vietnamese artist Hoàng Tién Quyét has mastered one of the most complex techniques in the ancient art of folding paper. He is using so called wet folding.

He began folding origami in his childhood. Today he is inspired with the lesser known wet folding technique. Wet folding was invented by the late origami master Akira Yoshizawa. Water is used to soften the paper during the folding process. Upon drying up, origami figurines are getting free flowing, curved forms. This technique is all about the balance. If you put too little water, the paper will dry up before the folding is done. If you put too much water, the paper will fall apart.
