Who’s To Blame For The Crisis

Pay for crisis sticker

This is a sticker on the door of the home appliances and electronics store in the Siberian town of Yekaterinburg. It’s written, in not-so-grammatically-correct English, “For Americans only! If you want to buy in this shop, you must pay 50% extra. This money will be used for Christmas discounts for other people.” I think, there are more bears* in Yekaterinburg than Americans, but it’s still not the brightest advertising idea.

Liverpool Twisting Facade

Liverpool Twisting Facade
It was an average building in the center of Liverpool, UK until sculptor Richard Wilson and the city authorities have decided to give it some style. £450.000 (US$700.000) have been spent and now Liverpool city dwellers and thousands of wandering tourists have a chance to see the one of the most amazing architectural installations on Earth. The ideally round-shaped two-storey in diameter part of the building’s concrete facade is slowly twisting around its axis.

How To Sell Old Car

How to sell your old Lincoln Towncar
That guy knows how to sell his 1990 Lincoln Towncar on eBay! He is definitely working in the advertisement industry. Bike Helmets in Nigeria

Nigerian bike helmets
This January Nigerian authorities have enforced bikers and their passengers to wear helmets while riding a motorbike. Since the low standards of living and the terrible traffic jams in Nigerian capital Lagos making motorcycles the most popular vehicle, the new regulations have affected really a lot of people. And a lion’s share of them (oh, forgive me such choice of words) just can’t afford a brand new US$100 helmet. So they have to improvise. Photos by Oluniyi David Ajao.

Ramzan Kadyrov Cars

1. Ramzan Kadyrov and his Rolls-Royce

Ramzan Kadyrov — the president of the Chechen Republic (or Chechnya), a Russian autonomy burned down during ten years of war — is a big fan of sports cars. His car park is really fascinating. Especially, when you will calculate it’s value. While the Chechnya (of which Ramzan Kadyrov is intended to take care) is literally lying in ruins and strongly dependent on the Russian and international financial help, its leader’s autos collection worth more than a couple of million US dollars.
