Artwork with rice grain

58-year-old Taiwanese artist Chen Forng-Shean proves that rice isn’t only a dominant product in the diet of his countrymen, but also a means of an artistic expression.

Tiny white grains of half a centimeter in length and 0.3 centimeters in width contain even more tiny portraits and inscriptions. A skilled artist methodically and slowly creating these works for weeks before the finished product appears in public.
