Nobody really classified this bird as the most beautiful in the World, but we had to. She really is the most beautiful according to us. And we believe that after seeing her, you will agree with too.
The paradise tanager is a brilliantly multicolored, medium-sized songbird whose length varies between 13.5 and 15 cm. This spectacular tanager delights visiting birders throughout much of the Amazon basin, where it forages in the canopy of lowland evergreen forests and at forest edge.
It has a light green head, sky blue underparts and black upper body plumage. Depending on subspecies, the rump is yellow and red or all red. The beak is black and the legs are gray.
