Many cities still perceive professional street art as a scourge of petty urban crime against civilization. Fortunately, not everyone thinks so. In Rabat – Morocco’s capital city residents welcomed a staggering amount of paintings, frescoes and paintings by street artists, who brought a new life to the capital of Morocco.
The first annual Jidar-festival took place in late May and has become a real celebration of folk art. Artists from around the world came together in the seaside town, transforming Rabat itself into a canvas. This spring splashes of bright colors can be seen everywhere under the palm trees.
