Australian artist, Michael Aka Moerkey from Horsham, Victoria, recycles discarded keys and coins and transforms them into unique works of art.
He bends and twists keys and coins, and this way he crafts amazing handmade balls, bowls and sculptures. “When I was supposed to be cleaning out my shed, I came across some old copper pipe saved from a previous renovation. I cut it up into rings and started making it into spheres. The first ones were a bit rough but once I worked out the technique I got creative”, tells the artist about how his work has started.
