Sculptural blooms made with ceramic shards

Israeli artist Zemer Peled creates beautiful sculptures which bloom like flowers.

She uses a slab roller and builds sheets of clay which are glazed, fired and then smashed to pieces with a hammer. Her work combines a variety of designs and colors, especially blue cobalt that is used in traditional Japanese pottery.

More work of Zemer Peled, who was recently shortlisted for the Young Masters Art Prize, can be found in her portfolio.
