Concept cars are something that you would never see parked next to your local Starbucks. They are not even made to be driven most of the time.
Practically, concepts are the way the leading automotive design houses are flexing their muscles in front of each other, trying to present themselves as the better visionaries.
So, concept cars will never leave the premises of the secret labs and world’s most popular auto expos. But they could give us a glimpse of the future, shed some light on what should we expect on the roads next to us in the coming decade or two. Also, they are just a fun to look at.
Toyota Fun-Vii was first presented at the Detroit Auto Show back in 2012. What’s fun about Fun-Vii is that its side panels and doors are covered with huge LCD screens on which the intelligent computer system that is supposed to run this car can show many useful pieces of data. Like the batteries status while charging (the future car can’t be anything but electric, right?), or just some random FB photos.
